There is no shortage of people who say they can help with turnarounds. Many are little more than financial engineers. Fine if you want to restructure the balance sheet and refinance the business. But most companies in the turnaround market do not offer a genuine operational turnaround service. In fact many of those who do are interim managers or they are often called, company doctors. However, the demands of an operational turnaround or similar project often require a team. Certainly, team members can be drawn from the company’s own ranks but it is relatively rare to find interim managers with complementary skills who already work as a team. BI+T is rare, a proven, successful team. Whilst you can always hire more than one interim manager, bringing together successful individuals does not necessarily make a good team.
With BI +T what you see is what you get:
- Business improvement/turnaround director from an engineering operational background. Many of our associates have worked with us on projects over the past 19 years. We know how each other work and their abilities.
- Wide ranging experience of difficult and challenging situations including international experience. Tony Tappy, the Managing Director, has lived and worked in Germany for many years. He is fluent in German and has a working knowledge of Spanish.
- We have no hidden agendae. We have no interest in placing unnecessary people onto the assignment. We are very cost effective. We hit the ground running.
- Very well connected. With our extensive experience gained over 19 years as independent directors, we have a very large number of proven contacts, in particular other interim managers and we belong to formal interim networks with over 1,500 members. If the assignment needs additional personnel or specialists for certain discrete projects within the assignment, we can bring them in at short notice.
- We are “Hands on achievers” not advisers. We are always happiest when we are “in the thick of it” . We don’t sit in an “Ivory Tower,” produce large memos and reports or large PowerPoint presentations, we get stuck in and get the results our client requires.
